Melissa D. Burns has exclusively managed Social Security claims for over 20 years. She is certified by the Social Security Administration as an EDPNA (Eligible for Direct Payment Non Attorney) after passing a rigorous qualification examination in 2012. Melissa is a member in good standing of the National Association for Disability Representatives (NADR). She has attended and observed hundreds of Administrative Law Judge Hearings and attends continuing legal education courses offered by the National Organization of Social Security Claimant Representatives (NOSSCR) and the National Association for Disability Representatives (NADR ). Melissa shares her experience and services by reviewing cases and preparing case assessments, medical chronologies, and appeal memorandums for other representatives, and she has successfully argued and won hundreds of disability claims.

Melissa grew up in Miami and Lake City, FL. She was a resident of Ocala, Marion County, FL from 1996 to 2012. She has worked directly with several seasoned Social Security lawyers for 15 years and has developed a passion for winning claims for disabled individuals. Melissa started a family and moved to Cape Coral in 2013, and opened M.D. Burns Disability, LLC in 2018.
